Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), a leading consulting and information technology services provider, is evaluating StealthWatch for Common Criteria Certification, which is a requirement specification for U.S. government purchases of network security products.

"Lancope's participation in the Common Criteria evaluation demonstrates our continuing commitment to providing government agencies with the highest caliber of network security solutions," said Harland LaVigne, president and CEO of Lancope. "Common Criteria Certification of StealthWatch represents a critical milestone for Lancope in our efforts to provide the government with solutions that protect against internal and external attacks, uncover security risks and continuously measure policy compliance across the network."

StealthWatch is the next-generation behavior-based Intrusion Detection System that optimizes security and network operations. Fifteen countries now recognize the Common Criteria as the official third-party evaluation criteria for IT security procedures. Within the U.S., several government and civilian agencies, including the DoD, are requiring new products to be tested against the Common Criteria in accordance with the National Information Assurance Acquisition Policy - National Security Telecommunications and Information Systems Security Policy No. 11.
